HCFA Form Manager prints on blank pre-printed forms or the software can print the complete CMS 1500 form for you. Some insurance carriers require the form layout be in red ink with the data in black or dark blue ink. The red form is necessary for automated machine scanning. Other carriers will allow the entire form to be in black ink since they do not use machine scanning.
